Humans needed to go to ‘Maine’ for something, so I went with them. After their business was done (which took long and I was bored to death!), they took me to the beach. Phew! Good things come to those who wait…. in a crate in a car for a long time!

I lived with my grandhumans for the past 3 human weeks. That’s five whole dog months. It felt like a long time. I almost assumed I was going to live there now, forever.
Grandhumans were very good to me. They have a gigantic fenced-in yard where they would play with me for a long time. Their daily schedule was so regular, unlike my humans. I liked that a lot. When grandhudad came home from work, I’d get so excited that my tail would go crazy. And it made him giggle so much. I felt good living there for sure.
My humans have been so stressed lately. My usual home had seen big and small boxes coming in and disappearing. The humans made a lot of noise with those boxes and tapes, and they kept taking things away. The house became so empty, in the end, and we were sleeping on the floor on a weird bed (air mattress, they said) for the past week or so.
When they finally took the last piece out of the house, they put me in the car, went somewhere, unloaded some of the things, and after 4 hours of driving, boom! we have arrived at my favorite backyard!!
They say I’ll have to stay here with my grand humans for a while until we have the home ready to live. I don’t understand. We had a place to live. The place I have grown up. Why can’t we go back and live there?
They say I will like the new place. I dunno. I like my usual home just fine…
It’s been so hot (according to the humans) outside that they have been not taking me out for hikes at all. I don’t know. I don’t really feel the heat inside. I suspect all those “new house” thing they keep talking about is keeping them busy and lazy at the same time. Humans! I do need to go out more, to those parks.
Anyhow, apparently, it was cooler today and I got to go for a walk while the sun was still out.
I enjoyed the day-light and outside breeze and smells.
Some skateboarders and hikers with long metal sticks made me worried sometimes…
But I love this place. I plopped down to protest many many times and drove the humans crazy. Good job, me!
I heard humans open MY drawer (it’s filled with my treats), so I came running here. I’ve sat, and been a very good dog. But instead of giving me the yummy bully twist, they’ve placed it on the edge of the drawer, and walked away to go back to whatever they were doing before.
I know it’s my drawer, but it still is very suspicious. I want the bully twist so much, but I just don’t know what I can do to get it.
Staring and whining normally make one of the humans come and help, but it hasn’t worked.
They look over this way once in while, laugh, and say “You can do it, Kaiju!” and that’s it.
I’m so lost. All I want is this thing to fall into my mouth. HUFF!
It was my humom’s birthday weekend. She wanted to be skiing, so we joined her friends in Vermont for two nights.
There were total of 9 other humans. I had met 6 of them before. Very nice people. But still, they got together and made a lot of noise in the kitchen, shuffling stuff around, laughing and drinking. So I basically stayed in my room on the 2nd floor, on my bed, when I wasn’t asked to come down to the first floor where people were.
