MEET Kaiju's FRIENDS! Part II

Last night, I noticed that Loki had a small spot of blood on his face in between his eyes. I asked Yun, did Loki and Juju get into a fight? I didn't remember hearing any screaming. Yun also replied in the negative. And why would he be bleeding on his face between the eyes if he got into a fight with Juju? It's such a weird spot.

So what happened to Loki?

This morning I found my answer in the form of a dead mouse in our backyard. EWWW! Gross! Yucky! Waaa! Yun doesn't know it yet, but he's going to be the one removing that thing.

Actually, Yun informs me that it was a chipmunk. Poor little guy.

Hello world,

I have been quite busy and the human haz too that's why there hasnt been any recent posts.

To begin, a couple weeks back San Diego had a scary power outage. The power waz out fur about 8 hours where I live. The humon kept me occupied with a bully stick so I was happy and had no idea that the whole city had lost power!

Next, my humon made me special treats (pumpkin and peanut butter) then I shared them with my neighbors pals and my other fellow Shiba, Toyko!!

Then on September 11th, on my way into a group meeting (group mascot is my role), I stopped to pay my respect at a 9/11 memorial at University of San Diego. The flags represent each country affected and small tiles on the ground contain the names of each victim and their hometown/country. It is a very special place. I would recommend this memorial to anyone.

Finally, I was able to meet the long awaited Tokyo, a fellow Shiba, who is quite famous on the Shiba media networks. Here are some pictures of me playing with her and some other furry friends!

Since then I've been keeping it easy and real. Taking long walks, napping, catching butterflies and sun tanning fills most of my time.

Today though I went to the dog park again and this time, because of my size, I was able to play in the small dog (0-25 lb) and big dog (25+ lb) area. It was very exciting and then when we were leaving we saw the white Shiba shown above, but by then we had already left . Once home the humon stripped me of my shedding fur and then bathed me. I miss the fur and am not happy about the bath. I'm like a cat, even wet grass turns me off but...I am about to have another "busy" week and then this weekend I have a little surprise up my sleeves....more to come soon!

Yuki got weighed in at 17.22 pounds. They said she had lost two pounds since her last weigh-in.

Yuki has been doing fine since the meds. We have stopped the Previcox and the Tramadol, but the vet wanted us to continue half-doses of the Gabapentin per day for another week.

He also wants us to confine Yuki for another week or two to make sure her pain doesn't suddenly appear

The vet didn't say much. He just kept repeating the same stuff.

I also asked him if it's possible that it may be a pinched nerve, and he told me that we would have to do an MRI on Yuki for that.

There wasn't any new news. Nothing mentioned about the lesion either...

I'm glad that Yuki didn't break anything, though.

Again, thanks for all your thoughts. Yuki sends all of you humans virtual hugs and kisses (she can really do it on command!) And barks, lunges and maybe play bows to the pups.

D’habitude les shiba n’aiment pas l’eau et ils préfèrent contourner les flaques que de tremper leurs précieuses pattes dedans. Akiko ne dérogeait pas à la règle, étant petite elle ne voulait pas marcher dans le caniveau si il était rempli d’eau et encore moins aller dans le petit ruisseau du bois de Vincennes. Quand le froid fut passé nous l’avons énormément encouragé à y tremper les pattes et aujourd’hui elle adore ça ! Bon elle est tombé aussi plusieurs fois dedans et quelqu’un l’y a même poussé…

C’est un vrai bonheur de la voir patauger dans l’eau dès qu’un rayon de soleil fait son apparition, elle est vraiment très marrante à patauger et à vouloir attraper les gouttes qu’elle même produit ! Maintenant son truc c’est même de mettre le museau sous l’eau pour attraper sa balle ou des cailloux. La preuve en vidéos :

The chu-tora female Kai Ken I'm watching has this thing where she can't decide which spot is to her liking to sleep in. She gets up, walks to another spot and plops down. She does this repeatedly until she is satisfied. Earlier this evening when she was doing this I let out a laugh and immediately she jumped up from her sleeping position as to let me know she knew I was laughing at her lol. I was able to capture one of her plops on video.

Remember how I mentioned that I might possibly be moving up north? Well, it's not possibly anymore.
Conker and I are packed up and headed to Washington! (tomorrow)

We will be living just north of the Columbia River in a small city (three times the size of GP) that is often referred to as "The Couve" but I HIGHLY doubt I'll call it that. That name is... Not to my liking. GP is a pretty stupid name but that one is stupider and I will probably come up with a different alias than "The Couve" for the new place of residence.

Speaking of which... It looks like this.

But will be parked at an actual house, where I will be spending most of my time. The trailer is just for sleeping and minimal living in. It's where all my junk will be so it won't intrude upon my Grandma's house, and so I can have a little "getaway" place if need be. Also, I don't know what Grandma's attitude towards Conker in her house will be, so the trailer will be his little haven if he gets kicked out.

I have lived with this particular Grandma before and know my way around this "new" living place quite well. So nothing about it will really be new, except Conker and the trailer.

Speaking of Conker... He is being picky about food again (turkey and gizzards), and will be getting a good bath and nail trimming so he appears somewhat decent for Grandma. I hope he doesn't start off by barking at her, but that's probably what he'll do.

OH HAI.

Yeah, I haven’t been posting a lot.  There’s no special reason; just focusing on reading cheap novels and working at the dog daycare where I’m spending most of my time these days.

Dogs are filthy creatures, by the way.

There are still a lot of things I want to talk about… I’m just having a hard time organizing them enough to write down.  Like the whole ‘purebred vs. crossbred vs. landrace’ thing.  And the Pedigree Dogs Exposed issues.  And there’s a whole shit-TON of books I have that I want to read and review.
