This is Kaiju's weekday-walks park. Normally we are here late night because of our schedules, but he got here a bit earlier today. Beautiful park isn't it?

Kaiju loves it here.

The 1st new Shiba bed in a year and half. Not sure if I like it yet...

Hudad's helping me like it, though.

Humans and I spent the weekend in a Yurt in Maine. It was cool. The yurt was all ours, and at night, a bunch of humans' friends came over for big dinner. During the days, it was surrounded by woods and lots of trails.

But for some reason, Humans were not enjoying it as much. We hiked up to the top of a very small mountain during the day, and they were panicking all the way up. Something about ticks. Every 20 feet or so, they would find a tick or two on me trying to crawl in, and they'd flick them off. I didn't notice. I was having so much fun sniffing, trotting, running back and forth. At one point, I was so happy and I hopped, turned around, and looked at my humans with a big smile. I thought they'd be happy with me, but noooo. They both went "woah woah woah!!". Apparently, I had tick-brows. The photo above is a re-enactment. Please imagine this, but with a huge grin on my face.

Overall, during the two hour hike, my humans flicked away over 30 ticks from me. In the following 6 hours or so, they removed 5 that were attached to me. They also found many on themselves, and on the long leash that I had. I was looking forward to going to many walks and hikes in the woods, but they pretty much locked themselves inside the yurt after that. So disappointing.

That is the question...

Some kids came to visit in the afternoon. I know I met them before and I was curious about them.... but not enough to let them touch me.

I really liked it that they were willing to play chase with me, although I preferred being chased.

I liked playing tennis with them, too. That was tennis that we played, right?

The boy tried for a long time to become my friend. I couldn't make up my mind and then he gave up... 🙁 Maybe next time?

Shio and Emi came to visit me at my grandhumans' home in Long Island. I have a secret crush on Emi. I tried very hard to get friendly with her, but she was very uninterested.

It's ok, I'll watch her from afar...

Shio and I played quite a bit... although, towards the end, Shio got grumpy at me. It was something about my own humom holding me. Everybody laughed but I didn't think it was funny. What a weirdo!

Oh, and there was a funny moment. Unkle Phil came out to say hi. He had been sleeping until then. Shio and Emi both went straight to him, closed their eyes, and took a good whiff of the air around him. He got teased a lot after that.

Hudad tried to play chase with Emi. It ended up scaring her. She ran away from him and all around the edges of the yard. He felt very bad... He just couldn't resist the adorableness of Emi. He promises he'd do better next time.

The best part was getting tons and tons of belly rubs from Aunt Ting! I hope they will come to visit again (and Shio will let me hang with my own humom next time).

Kaiju had a vet appointment this morning for annual checkup/shots. He still needs to sit on the bench while waiting, right next to us, just like he did 2 years ago.
